VPN Configuration

World-scope Polymarket markets (politics, global events, crypto) require a VPN connection. Configure WireGuard on your self-hosted node to access them.

When is VPN needed? Only for Polymarket prediction bots with World or All market scope. USA-only bots don't need VPN.

Prerequisites

  • ✓ A self-hosted node linked and running
  • ✓ A WireGuard VPN provider with a .conf file

Configuring VPN from the Web UI

  1. 1 Go to Nodes in the sidebar
  2. 2 Click the node you want to configure
  3. 3 Scroll to the VPN Configuration section
  4. 4 Upload your WireGuard .conf file
  5. 5 The node will apply the VPN configuration. Status will show as connected.

Supported VPN Providers

Any WireGuard-compatible VPN provider works. You need a provider that supplies .conf files. Popular options include:

  • ▶ Mullvad
  • ▶ Surfshark
  • ▶ NordVPN (WireGuard/NordLynx)
  • ▶ Private Internet Access
  • ▶ Self-hosted WireGuard server

After Configuration

Once VPN is active on the node, create a prediction bot with World scope and assign it to the node. The bot's Polymarket traffic will route through the VPN automatically.
